The Gold Ribbon Guild is Kiona Foundation's permanent, opt-in recognition program for donors whose gifts reach one thousand dollars within a calendar year.
Recognition terms
Recognition is based on cumulative calendar-year giving.
- Threshold
- One thousand dollars, reached through one gift or through cumulative gifts within the calendar year.
- Donor choice
- A donor may be named, recognized anonymously, or decline public recognition.
- Duration
- Recognition is recorded by calendar year. Founding designations remain part of the historical record.
- No exchange
- The Guild conveys no goods, services, access, governance rights, or membership status.

Founding recognition
Founding designations remain part of the Guild's history.
These designations identify the people and organizations present at the beginning. They do not create a rank among donors or a promise of permanent standing.
Founding Corporate Donor
Wegmans Food Markets, Inc.
Recognized with lead corporate placement, with the Foundation's gratitude for its founding support.
Donors reaching the threshold are added by year, with their consent. Anonymous gifts are counted and never named.
Separate purposes
Donor recognition and memorial remembrance remain separate.
The Guild recognizes charitable support. Every Ribbon Has a Name remembers children lost to childhood cancer. They are separate surfaces with separate purposes.
No child is paired with a donor, and no donation creates memorial placement.
Give through the Foundation's existing channels.
Verified gifts are counted toward the calendar-year threshold. There is no separate Guild checkout. Questions about gift records and receipts may be sent to donors@kionafoundation.org.
