Gold Ribbon Tech is an active Kiona Foundation program receiving donated computer hardware and coordinating refurbishment and responsible placement for pediatric cancer families and caregivers. Active intake is not a guarantee of a device or evidence that placement has been completed.

Gold Ribbon Tech is organized around clear stewardship from the moment a device enters the program through the moment it is ready for responsible placement.
How the program works

Technology can help families remain connected to education, information, care coordination, and advocacy while cancer changes daily life.
Refurbish securely
Data handling, refurbishment and readiness must be confirmed for each accepted device before placement. Contact the program coordinator for current requirements; do not send devices or personal data without written coordination.
Place through trusted pathways
Placement is coordinated through appropriate referral pathways and depends on needs, eligibility, preparation and available resources. Families and institutions should ask about current availability.

Kiona Foundation's cancer mission serves people and families across the lifespan. Gold Ribbon Tech responds to practical needs that can accompany pediatric cancer while remaining part of that broader mission.
Current program status
Active, ongoing, and receiving support.
Gold Ribbon Tech is an active Kiona Foundation program. The Foundation has already received several device donations and continues to coordinate appropriate contributions, responsible refurbishment, and placement through the program.
Device intake is coordinated directly by the Foundation so each contribution can be reviewed for program fit, data handling, and readiness before it is accepted.
