This site sets no first-party analytics cookies and runs no Foundation analytics. Fonts and images are served from the Foundation's own domain. The in-kind contribution page embeds a Google Form, and the Every Ribbon Has a Name submission page links to a separate Google Form. Google may process technical information under its own terms and privacy policy when either form loads or is used. The web host may create routine access and security logs, which can include an IP address, browser information, the page requested, and the time of the request.
Every Ribbon Has a Name offers four equal submission routes: online form, email, printable paper form, and telephone. Every route is stewarded by Mertis Williams, and nothing is published until the family has reviewed and approved the exact tribute in writing.
Giving
Donations are processed by Givebutter, which collects the information required to complete a gift and issue a receipt. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policy. The Foundation receives donor name, contact details, gift amount, and designation, and uses them to acknowledge the gift, meet its recordkeeping obligations, and communicate about its work.
In-kind contribution offers are submitted through a Google Form. The form asks for contact information and details about the goods, equipment, professional services, or logistical support being offered. Submission is an offer, not acceptance. Responses are available only to authorized Foundation personnel who need the information to review and coordinate the offer. The form does not require a Google account and does not use file uploads.
Donor recognition
No donor is named publicly without affirmative consent. Anonymous recognition is always available. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to the Foundation, and a name is removed from public recognition promptly on request.
Every Ribbon Has a Name
No tribute is published without written permission from the family or authorized submitter. Nothing is published without a private preview first. Families may correct or remove a tribute at any time, permanently, without explanation. Contact details supplied for stewardship are never published, are never used for fundraising, and are never added to a donor list.
The online memorial form collects a responder-entered email address, does not require a Google account, and does not accept file uploads. Responses are available only to Mertis Williams, Dr. Lakisha Jenkins-Samuels, and authorized Foundation personnel who need the information for memorial review. Photographs may be sent separately to the Foundation or collected by the Memorial Steward.
Tribute information received through the Every Ribbon Has a Name submission routes is held for memorial review. Access is limited to Mertis Williams, Memorial Steward, Dr. Lakisha Jenkins-Samuels, and authorized Foundation personnel who need the information for that review. Sharing information does not authorize publication. Publication happens only after a separate written confirmation from the family on the exact content to appear.
Memorial submissions may be shared through the online form, sent to stories@kionafoundation.org, returned using the approved paper form, or shared by telephone at (929) 445-4190. Corrections, removal requests, and stewardship questions may be sent to mwilliams@kionafoundation.org.
